The City of Crosslake

The City of Crosslake

The City of Crosslake exemplifies Minnesota’s “up-north” environment and lakeside flavor. From log furniture in the hotels to unique art stores and fabulous lakeside dining, Crosslake boasts a vibrant and growing business community eager great visitors and residents alike. With everything there is to do in Crosslake, remodeling is a much better option to stay in the place you love.

This Crosslake neighborhood features dozens of lakes, including the 14 interconnected lakes of the Whitefish Chain of Lakes. In all, the Whitefish Chain includes more than 13,500 acres of water, 119 miles of shoreline, and dozens of bays and islands. The Chain offers great opportunities for boating, fishing, skiing, swimming, and so much more. Many lodging options, ranging from campgrounds to resorts, can be found on the Chain as well as many dockside restaurants offering quite the selection of eatery options. The Pine River Dam in is also quite the sight to see on the Whitefish Chain. You can watch the rushing water from the overlook or cast a line and try your hand at fishing.

The Crosslake Recreation Area offers many other opportunities, such as swimming, picnicking, and camping. This is one of the most picturesque communities – year-round – in all of Minnesota. All four seasons are thoroughly enjoyed by residents each year as recreational opportunities are plentiful throughout all the seasons.

If you live in Crosslake, you’re well aware of the many popular festivals that take place, including WinterFest and Crosslake Days, the most popular event being the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Celebration!

In 2016, the Crosslake community was selected to receive visits and input from the Minnesota Design Team – a team of volunteer architects, landscape architects, urban planners, tourism advisers and other community experts. In May 2016, numerous public meetings and brainstorming sessions were held to gather all ideas and comments from the people who live, work, and play in the area. This all came together to create the wonderful living environment Crosslake is.
